A Small message to our students by Sensei Terence Read and Sensei Jane Read August 2005

Ely Fen Tiger Karate Dojo has been up and running since August 2003.
In these past 2 years we have watched the dojo grow slowly but surely and now have a growing membership of 60 licensed Students.
It is only through dedication and sweating and repetition and hard work that we have achieved this together.
Remember Karate is Physical and Mental and Spiritual training and there are no short cuts to achieving your goals within Martial Arts.
You must keep training and however difficult and demanding things seem we will, I have no doubt, reap the benefits together.
We are vehicles of transmission passing on Knowledge to those that have a thirst for it.
I hope our enthusiasm lifts you and encourages you to work harder so we can reach our goals together.
Thankyou for your continued support,
Sensei,s Terry and Jane EGKA/IOGKF

Ely Fen Tiger Dojo held a sponsorship event to raise money for the Tsunami appeal IOGKF Sri Lanka. The event was held on 5th April for Adults and the 6th April for juniors. The students had to complete 2500 full Techniques in 60 minutes consisting of various Kihon , Kata , Bunkai etc.
Our fellow karate-ka in Sri-Lanka were hit by the Tsunami and they lost 6 of there friends.
I am pleased to say that we raised £400.00 and has been passed on to them directly through the IOGKF.

I must say the event was very demanding and emotional but very rewarding.
I hope the money helps those in need.
Please visit the IOGKF website www.iogkf.com and click on fundraiser for IOGKF Sri-Lanka to see our article.

I would like to send my best wishes to IOGKF Sri-Lanka and thank all my students that participated in such a successful event.
